Mission Statement

The objective of the West Torrance Little League shall be to implant firmly in the children of the community the ideals of good
sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, courage and respect for authority, so that they may be well adjusted, stronger and happier children
and will grow to become good, decent, healthy and trustworthy citizens. All Directors, Officers, Managers, Coaches, Parents, and
Members shall devote themselves to teaching our players baseball skills, and equally importantly, fundamental principles of good
sportsmanship, competition, fair play, and the committment to doing one's best. We will strive to provide each player with an enjoyable
and educational Little League experience, with the aim of fostering both a love of baseball and an appreciation of the life lessons that
baseball can teach.

James Earl Jones, as famous 60's writer Terrance Mann, talking to Ray Kinsella (Kevin Costner): "The one constant through
all the years, Ray, has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It's been erased like a blackboard,
rebuilt, and erased again. But baseball has marked the time. This field, this game, is a part of our past, Ray. It reminds us of
all that once was good, and that could be again. Oh people will come, Ray. People will most definitely come."
